Join us for the Tri 101 Workshop this Sunday Evening!!

Are you new to triathlon and wondering how to train or what to expect on race day? Feeling overwhelmed about what gear you need? Or maybe you’ve got a season under your belt and are looking to pick up some speedy tips and tricks?

You’ve got questions, we’ve got answers! Join us Sunday, July 26th @ 5pm at Miss Barb’s for our annual Tri 101 workshop. RSVP on the website under events!

We’ll have a panel of experienced triathletes (all fellow club members) on hand to answer any questions and go over the basics of tri racing and training, as well as lots of do’s and don’ts they’ve picked up along the way.

We’ll be covering topics such as:
⏰ All the race day basics and general logistics
👟 Essential gear
🏁 How to pick your races
💡 Training tips
🍏 Nutrition needs
🚩 USAT & Ironman rules
❓ And any other questions you may have! Like underwear under bike shorts? (short answer, no)

Join us for Acupuncture 101 next week! 🪡🏃🏽

If you’ve ever been curious about acupuncture, are unsure about the needles of it all, or even been to sessions before and don’t know how to best integrate with training, come out to the park for a chat with club sponsor ACU for Athletes! Dr. Zvi Goldberg, Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, will take us through the basics, you can ask any questions on your mind, and we’ll hear from some members about their experiences.

– How can it help your training?
– How to include in your training/recovery cycle

Members! Join us next Sunday, July 12th from 3pm-7pm for our annual summer party and gear swap!

You’ll get to hang out with other club members, sponsors, coaches and board members, enjoy complimentary bites and drinks, and swap gear and nutrition with others in the club. No gear to swap? No problem — the swap is optional!

What to bring: Yourself, good vibes, any gently used gear or unopened nutrition to swap (optional), and shopping bags for all the gear you will score! Read more about what you can bring to swap below.

Please note: The summer party is open to members only, so if you have a friend considering joining BTC, get them to sign up and join prior to the party so they can RSVP and attend as well.

Be sure to RSVP by July 6th to help us ensure there’s enough food and drink.

Join us this Saturday, June 20th for our Open Water Swimming Clinic! 🏊

The clinic will be led by coaches John Stewart (Race Day Coaching) and Peter Helling (Startline Coach).

During the clinic you will learn the fundamentals of open water swimming in a group setting. Coaches will work with you on sighting, swimming in a straight line, and effectively maneuvering through current and chop.

OWS requires a different approach than pool swimming, so being comfortable in open water is crucial to race success. This clinic is capped at 15 swimmers so book your spot on the forum today!

This annual clinic can help you discover your “weak links” that predispose to injury, and every year all participants learn something new to look for and what to do about it!
