Holy hell, this is disturbing for so many reasons. The book, "Call Me, I'll Hide The Body" apparently landed a reported $2.4 million two-book deal with Minotaur/ Macmillan after a 14-publisher auction. With the witch hunt mentality behind AI hatred and fear, what if it actually wasn’t AI? (AI detection software can be notoriously wrong, and em-dashes seem to strike mortal terror in judgy people.) And if it actually was AI, how did it get that far and generate this much interest? Either way, all of us in the industry should be very nervous. Just… holy hell. 🔥
