At Kula we have the perfect nightcap to your week: Yin Yoga taught by Śrî on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. This 75 minute class invites you to slow down, let your body actually rest, and navigate the often challenging space between the weeks end and the next week’s beginning. Think long holds, deep stretches, and plenty of space to tend to the parts of yourself that have been neglected all week. In this clip Śrî will teach you the Daoist breath and incorporate sound therapy, a highlight of her classes!

Join her in class every Sunday at 6pm. Link in bio 🌙

Weekend Warriors! We have an Iyengar Yoga special offering coming to you this Saturday 8/15 from 4-6pm with Naz Kalipci

Foundations of Practice - An Iyengar Yoga Workshop

In this workshop you will experience the time-honored methodology and sequencing of a traditional Iyengar Yoga class. You will practice the embodiment of foundational principles of yoga asana, and gain practical tools and fresh perspectives for your own practice.

Following a level 1 sequence, the workshop will include demonstrations and practice, threading the foundational actions and directions through a variety of poses. You will end with a restorative and breath centered practice. Adjustments and variations will be offered when needed.

The workshop is open to all levels of experience.

Naz teaches at Kula every T/Th at 2.30pm and is featured in our on demand library for those of you practicing at home. She trained with Kula in our foundational training many moons ago and we consider her family! Come check her out this Saturday and stay for the garden vibes after 🪴 💫

Kulis! If there is one request we get often - it’s how to go upside down confidently. Someone who knows the tricks of the trade and is ready to share her knowledge: Whitney Winn.

In this tutorial, Whitney walks you through a wrist and shoulder warm up built specifically to get you ready for inversions. This is the kind of prep that makes the difference between muscling into a pose and confidently landing in it.

💫 Join Whitney in class-she’s in the teacher’s seat all of August!

Time to light up the Superficial Backline Kulis! 🔥 Xen’s latest focus: three ways to locust.

Same pose, same back body strength, explored through three different lineages. Each backbend can be thought of as back extension, as we are always looking for length in the spine and a forward and up action of the chest before we go ‘back’ or ‘bend’.

Bonus track: back extensions not only strengthen your hamstrings, glutes, and the muscles of your upper back, they also help undo the slouch that your chest, shoulders and spine hold onto all day.

Xen brings a new way to look at familiar poses into every class - join her and explore the difference!

Kulis! New teacher alert 🔥 Say hi to Maddie and Xen, now posting up strong on the Kula schedule 👋 Both have trained with us and are fully Kula-fied. Xen previously taught JP Centre Yoga in Boston, and Maddie’s path ran through Mexico and Las Vegas before she found her way to us.

No matter how long you’ve been practicing, there’s always something to learn: a new cue, an illuminating way to use a prop, a hands on adjustment you have never felt before. These two bring a new perspective that can shift your experience. Go find them!

Join Leah 🌺 for WISDOM OF THE BODY, a five-week chakra workshop running every Saturday in August 🌀

Each class works a different technique, so no two Saturdays are the same. Here’s the format:

01 - Empty: Name what you’re ready to let go of
02 - Pranayama: Breathwork to prep the body for practice
03 - Practice: A guided pass through the chakra system
04 - Body Scan: A supported scan tracking where each chakra sits in the body
05 - Group Circle: We close out loud, together

Leah normally works one on one. A demanding career and the loss of loved ones to preventable illness pushed her to get serious about her own alignment. She’s spent years since then studying the chakra system and teaching it to others. This workshop brings that one on one work into a room full of Kulis.

See you on the mat. Saturdays, 2-3.30pm. All levels welcome.

Join One Nation Sound this Sunday, July 19 at 11am for a special TIBETAN SOUND HEALING + SOUND BATH ✨✨✨

Tibetan Sound Healing is a sacred system of self-healing with voice activations that comes from a Tibetan Qigong lineage and has been passed down directly from teacher to student for thousands of years. By chanting particular sounds we activate and heal different parts of the body, open blocked energies, and bring about optimal health.

This transformative sound experience will be half sounding and half sound bath to feel the power of activating your own inner sound healer, as well as the power of receiving healing frequencies played by One Nation Sound. This provides a beautiful opportunity to explore the balance between giving and receiving, between taking our healing into our own hands, and receiving healing from others.
