we are capable of sophisticated, interesting, *intelligent* movement. what a gift!
at bodycraft, we really believe dance is for everyone and create experiences that make dance feel fun and within reach. are you good at something right away? likely no. but we think being “good” isn’t even the point!
dance is a powerful and primal part of being a human! if you’ve been on the fence about dance, consider this your nudge to try it from the mindset of skill being totally irrelevant. stay moving, learn something, and have fun!

summer calls for travel and spontaneity and hopefully some really wonderful experiences and relaxation. it can also be a little destabilizing because one day you’re in your routine and the next you’re scrambling to pack and navigate a new place and there is absolutely no sense of normalcy. here are some tips and perspectives about dipping in and out of regular movement this summer while maintaining a sense of grounding and peace.
how do you fare with summer disruptions to your routine?
sometimes the moves you think are “arms” or “legs” exercises are low key the hardest core moves!
what we love about compound movements is how they challenge our core, balance, and organization. try this one with a 10lb weight and move slowly for balance.
12 of each move 1-4, then second side. take as little rest possible and try to keep your hips square and steady!
save this for a travel weekend! you need no equipment but your full body will feel awake and invigorated (move 4 is reallllll good post travel!). aim for 12-15 reps of each move, both sides!
