On Sunday, July 19, we welcome Khenpo Lama Migmar Tseten, Harvard’s Buddhist Chaplain and the teacher of Down Under’s beloved David Magone, to our Porter Square studio for a rare opportunity to study a living lineage practice.
The Medicine Buddha (sādhana) is a centuries-old Tibetan meditation tradition for working with pain, illness, stress, and emotional difficulty, transmitted here through guided visualization, mantra, and chant, with Lama Migmar offering step-by-step instruction throughout.
This bridges the gap between theory and practice. No background in Buddhism, Tibetan philosophy, or meditation is required, only curiosity, and a willingness to sit with a master teacher inside a tradition that predates the yoga mat by a thousand years.

Freedom can feel like a word we inherit before we ever examine it 🇺🇸 In yoga education, we return to the concept of freedom as a lived inquiry rather than an idea, as something practiced within, not granted from outside.
✨ The freedom to observe the mind without being governed by it.
✨ The freedom to refine attention.
✨ The freedom to choose discipline not as restriction, but as clarity.
This is the kind of freedom that unfolds slowly through repetition, study, and the willingness to stay with what is. It’s found in the structure of practice as much as in its release. In the precision of alignment. In the intelligence of breath. In the steady return to what is essential.
🧘 As we move through this holiday weekend, we hold a simple reflection: what does it mean to be free in practice, and what becomes possible when attention is trained, not scattered?
Freedom, in this sense, is not a destination. It’s a way of study.
