Having been around the LOL for 30 years, I have had the pleasure of seeing and playing with some very fine ball players. In all that time, I am not sure I have seen a better fundamental player than Sam. Yes, he can hit for power, lay down a bunt, steal a base, has a good arm and runs well, but his best talent is his baseball IQ and how he plays the game. He is never out of position, always hustling and always knows just what to do and where to be on a field to help his team. He prepares like a pro and plays like one as well. If there were a role model for how the game should be played, it would be Sam. For these reasons, Sam Zarling is our Co-MVP this year.

Land O' Lakes version of a young Shohei Ohtani, this young player is blossoming into one of our game's best and brightest. Equally suited on the mound and in the batter's box, he can alter a game in so many more ways than the average player. Clutch on both ends of the field, he always comes through when it matters the most. Not only were his pitching and hitting top-notch, but he also developed into a solid second baseman to boot. Like Sam, he is always prepared for every scenario on the field. There were times he carried the Sox on his back to victory. For all of these reasons, Ethan Hibicke deserves to be Co-MVP.
