Never forget 🇺🇸
9/11/2001 Brookfield, WI 🇺🇸 The exact day of the terrorist attacks. All planes were grounded. George HW Bush and his wife, Barbara, happened to be in the area and couldn’t leave. At around 5:00pm, a secret service member asked if the former President and First Lady could take a stroll—no golfing—around the course for some fresh air and to clear their minds. They did just that. Mr. Bush stopped a golfer on Hole 9, borrowed his pitching wedge and took a shot at the green. They took some photos after and signed some score cards. A very down to earth couple on a day of complete chaos. We will always remember this day for many reasons. #911
