Tim and Matt headed north to Blue Springs over the weekend, and let’s just say—the bad luck was working overtime! 🏁
Matt started last in the Outlaw D Main after getting plowed into by lap traffic during Q1, leaving him with a broken car and a DNF. He fought his way back and secured the final transfer spot—only to get taken out once again!
Tim earned his way into the Outlaw B Main, but those drivers were out for blood! After getting caught in a tangle, he just couldn’t fight his way out of the B Main. The outcome wasn’t in their favor, but we still had a great time!
Tim also raced 13.5 and landed in the B Main. Unfortunately, more bad luck kept him from advancing.
Last but certainly not least, Matt put his Midwest Mod on the track—and I couldn’t make this up if I tried! The announcer said, “No more laps,” but there’s always that one person who has to take one more lap at full blast. Sure enough, they came to a sudden stop right into Matt’s car! 🤦♀️
Then another wreck during Q1 took Matt out with yet another DNF. But he got the car back together, kept fighting and ended the weekend by bringing home some hardware with a 2nd-place finish! 🥈🏆
It may not have been the weekend Tim and Matt hoped for, but they never gave up—and we still had a great time racing in Blue Springs @ Fastlane Raceway!
