Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful 4th of July! Happy 250th America!

This week we are coming off of break, and back into training with full spirit! Sparring is the topic this week, please bring ALL sparring gear that you have, and water too! Today, Monday July 6th, at 6pm there will be an orientation at the Reunion Recreation Center for any students or interested persons to attend. Located at 17910 Parkside Dr N, Commerce City, CO 80022. This orientation is not mandatory, and aimed at familiarizing students with the facility, the schedule, and to answer questions.

COMING VERY SOON! OUR ANNUAL BBQ & BOARD BREAK on the 18th! This year it is also competition style, meaning we will be judging for medals and awards. Make sure to get registered in the upcoming events section of the student portal or by using the link below! There are also two seminars before the BBQ and Board Break, making a Three-Day Grand Opening event to celebrate our return to the Rec Center! Do not delay, register today!

Please enjoy your week-long Summer Break! Classes Resume next week at the Reunion Recreation Center, located at 17910 Parkside Drive North, in Commerce City. On Monday July 6th @ 6pm there will be an orientation for those who wish to come!

Everyone's tuition will be automatically reduced, beginning on July 1st. If you wish to make a change to train more or less based on the new location and lower pricing, please let me know! Otherwise you will be automatically enrolled into the same number of classes per week as before. Lots of new friends await, as community members are already signing up to join you training Taekwondo!

This week is testing week! We will be studying grappling, weapons, board-breaking, and self-defense! If there is another subject you wish to review during this week, make sure to ask and we will cover that also in your class. The testing is Saturday, 06/27/2026 @ 9am at the Dojang. The testing order will be advanced belts first, intermediate belts, then beginner belts. Intermediate belts can plan on showing up about 11am, and beginner belts around 1pm. However, you are welcome and encouraged to come for the whole event if you like!

Immediately following testing, I am beginning the move out from the Dojang, and our yearly summer break begins. If you are able to stay after testing and help us move, that would be greatly appreciated!

Classes will resume on Monday July 6th at the Rec Center, with an evening orientation at 6pm so everyone knows where the space is, the schedule will be handed out as well as posted in the student portal. Everyone's tuition will be automatically changed on July 1st to reflect either one class per week, 2 classes per week, or unlimited training based on what you are currently enrolled in. If you would like to make a change to train more often based on the new lower rates, please let me know via email. This space is a bigger training area, a better training space, and cheaper for all! I'm very excited for this opportunity and thankful to be teaching again at the Reunion Rec Center. We have already received new students wanting to join, so plan on making new friends! Lastly, Black Belts who help me teach during other classes will have no tuition for their own training.

Don't forget the Dojang is closed today in observance of the federal holiday, Juneteenth. Please enjoy your three day weekend with your families!

Today is the last day to turn in your testing application! You can either fill it out in your student portal, or fill one out in person at the Dojang. You have all been working very hard, time for the next level! 💪

Only 3 days left to get your testing applications in! You can submit one through the student portal, or fill one out when you come in next for training. All students should prepare to test!

Testing Review! Over these next few weeks we will be reviewing before testing! Focus on earning your tips from now and through review week. Students with 4 or more tips should all be testing! If you do not yet have enough, check with Master Alex and ask. ALL testing applications are due by this Thursday June 18th, late applications will incur a $25 late fee. You can complete your application online by filling out the form in your student portal.

Grandmaster J.C. Choi and his son Colin will be visiting in July, and have prepared very special seminars for you! We will be hosting a three-day series of events July 16th, 17th, and 18th please see the upcoming events section in the student portal and get registered! One of them is our annual Board Break and Barbecue!

As many of you know, we will be moving locations this summer. I am pleased to announce that starting July 6th, classes will be held at the Reunion Rec Center again, the place where we began! Classes will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. What does this mean for you? For most of you, this location is closer. And, this also means a lower cost of tuition for everyone! Starting July 1st, everyone's current tuition will be canceled, contracts will be released, and those who continue will be paying the new lower rates. If you have paid in full for certain term lengths, those will continue to be honored. The Reunion Rec center is a great facility, and I am happy to be teaching classes there once again. Sadly, this will also mean that June is the last month for Tiny Tigers. Please continue to come and train in Tiny Tigers as much as you can, while we can! Some of the Tiny Tigers are ready to move up into the next class, and some are not please speak to me about transitioning when it is time.

Thank you everyone! You have proven once again to be the best, most dedicated students and families I have ever seen, and could ever wish for. I can't wait to see what this new future holds for our school.
