Yesterday at the T.R. Miller football game was truly a remarkable and unforgettable experience for our youth.
First and foremost, on behalf of Brewton Youth Football, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to Coach Ronnie Cottrell for his leadership, dedication, and unwavering support of our youth. Watching the smiles on our kids’ faces and seeing how much they enjoyed themselves while interacting with the athletes they look up to was both inspiring and encouraging. Sports always begin with the youth. They work hard, develop their skills, and dream of one day reaching the next level. Our children need opportunities like this to see what is possible and to know that their community believes in them.
Coach Cottrell, you truly did something special. This was the first time in our league’s history that our youth were given an opportunity like this, and we hope it is something that continues for years to come. Our youth need love, encouragement, and support, and last night they received all of that and more.
Secondly, I would like to thank our President, Brian Wesley, and Vice President, Darrion Salter Jr., for helping make this opportunity possible. Your dedication to this league and its youth is greatly appreciated.
A special thank you also goes to Mrs. Crystal Baker at T.R. Miller High School for helping coordinate everything and ensuring that everything was in place and ran smoothly. Your support did not go unnoticed.
To my amazing coaches thank you. Your hard work, dedication, and countless volunteer hours are making a difference. I am beyond proud of each of you. The impact you are having on these young athletes and cheerleaders is evident every day, and your commitment to this program means more than words can express.
To our football players and cheerleaders, you all were phenomenal. Seeing your excitement, confidence, and joy on that field was amazing. Watching you interact with the high school players and cheerleaders was a special moment that many of you will remember for years to come. One day, you will be in their shoes, and you’ll have the opportunity to inspire the next generation just as they inspired you.
Cheerleaders, y’all absolutely showed out! I was so proud of each and every one of you. All of your hard work is paying off, and it showed last night. Keep pushing, keep growing, and keep believing in yourselves.
To our fans and supporters, thank you for showing up and showing out. Your support means the world to these young athletes. It truly takes a community working together to build a brighter future for our youth. The time, encouragement, and support you give them help motivate them to succeed not only in sports but in life.
To our parents, thank you for everything you do behind the scenes. The sacrifices you make, the rides to practice, the support, and the encouragement do not go unnoticed. We appreciate each and every one of you.
Finally, as the Brewton Youth Football Head Football and Cheer Coordinator and ERC Cheer Commissioner, I want to personally thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for helping create such an incredible experience for our youth. Last night was about recognizing and investing in the future of T.R. Miller football and cheer. The memories made, the smiles shared, and the inspiration provided will last far beyond one game.
Thank you all for helping make history and for showing our youth just how much they are loved, valued, and supported.
