The Road to the Championship is officially underway at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

The NHRA Pro Mod Series sponsored by JBS Equipment and presented by Elite Motorsports features one of the toughest fields in drag racing, and now the Round 1 matchups are set.

The field is set for eliminations at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.

After four qualifying sessions in the JBS Equipment NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by Elite Motorsports , Mike Stavrinos secured the No. 1 qualifying position with a 5.654 second pass at 254.47 mph.

Chip King Dreamworks Motorsports made the biggest move in the final session, jumping to the No. 3 position with a strong 5.683, while Billy Banaka held on to the No. 2 spot after his Q3 performance.

With the 16-car field now locked in, the focus shifts to Sunday's eliminations, where one driver will leave Norwalk with the first Road to the Championship Wally of the season.

Who takes home the Wally on Sunday? 🏆

Both drivers improved in Q2 and now Jason is #2 and Derek is #4 going into Q3 tomorrow!

Mike Stavrinos wasted no time taking over the top spot in the opening qualifying session at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, laying down a 5.689 @ 253.71 MPH

The top eight qualifiers are separated by just .060 seconds, and with another qualifying session still ahead today.
