The Great Northwest Challenge joins the rugby community in mourning the loss of Dominic Peterson.
We send our sincere condolences to Dominic’s family, friends, teammates, coaches, classmates, and everyone at Saint Mary’s College, Saint Mary’s Rugby and the California Grizzlies who knew and cared for him.
During this difficult time, we stand beside the Saint Mary’s and California Grizzlies community and keep all those affected by Dominic’s passing in our thoughts and prayers.
On behalf of the College Rugby Association of America, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Dominic Peterson, and to the entire Saint Mary’s College and Saint Mary’s Rugby communities.
The loss of a young man and teammate in circumstances like these is difficult to comprehend. Our thoughts are especially with Dominic’s teammates, coaches, classmates, and everyone who was with him on Friday.
Rugby has always been more than a game. The bonds formed within a team are profound, and when one member of that family is lost, the impact is felt throughout the wider rugby community.
We mourn with Saint Mary’s, and we hold Dominic’s family, teammates, coaches, and friends in our thoughts during an unimaginably difficult time.
