25 YEARS. NEVER FORGOTTEN. 🇺🇸
On September 11, 2001, 343 firefighters entered the World Trade Center knowing they were walking into unimaginable danger. They climbed 110 stories and more than 2,200 steps—many carrying 60+ pounds of gear—to help people they had never met.
Most of them never came back down.
On September 11, 2026, we will climb those stairs in their honor.
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
📍 Manteno High School Football Field – Bleachers
🗓️ September 11
⏰ 5:00 AM
🇺🇸 Open to EVERYONE — men, women, kids, families, first responders, veterans, and anyone who wants to remember.
Many of us will wear a ruck, weighted vest, or rock sack to help replicate the weight those firefighters carried as they climbed toward the danger while everyone else was trying to escape it.
Last year’s climb was one of the most humbling experiences I’ve been a part of. Somewhere between the physical exhaustion and the silence, it became very easy to stop thinking about the workout and start thinking about what that day actually meant.
2,977 people never got to go home.
343 firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice.
We climb because we remember.
This isn’t about how fast you can climb.
It’s not about how much weight you can carry.
It’s about showing up.
Bring your family. Bring your kids. Bring a friend. Bring your ruck if you have one—or come with nothing but yourself.
25 years later, we remember. We honor. We climb.
🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET.
