Dating back to the clubs inception in 1967, the University of Colorado Men’s Rugby Club competes at the highest level. This tradition continues with the team’s participation in D1A-West, the highest level of collegiate rugby in the United States. Recent years have seen great success with the team reaching the national quarterfinals successively in (2013 & 2014), and found itself ranked 7th in D1A

CU Rugby is excited to welcome Dawson Spence, out of St Peter’s School, York, England where he has been in the 1st XV for the past 4 seasons. In that time, Dawson was selected and played for the Yorkshire English Premiership Academy team. He adds valuable experience to our squad. Welcome to the Buffs family, Dawson!

CU Rugby is excited to welcome Soren Streckenbach, out of D1 program De Pere Rugby in Wisconsin. Soren brings a physical edge and excels in winning collisions on both sides of the ball. He has the size and strength to play up front and the mobility to play in the back row. Soren is talented athletically as well as academically, achieving WFCA Academic All State honors in football. Welcome to the Buffs family, Soren!

Jake Lalis joins us after 4 years at St Leonards Madras Blues Rugby in St Andrews, Scotland. Jake will be beginning his engineering degree at CU Boulder in the fall. Jake embraces the grunt work on the pitch and brings with him his tough breakdown and contact skills. We are excited to welcome Jake to the Buffs family!
