GRIT IN ACTION. COMMUNITY IN MOTION.
The July Grit2Greatness team call tonight was a powerful reminder that nobody has to tackle endurance sports—or life’s challenges—alone.
We welcomed new athletes, shared race goals, celebrated comebacks, and talked about what grit really means: showing up when things are uncomfortable, staying consistent when progress feels slow, and trusting the process one step at a time.
During our IDS (Identify, Discuss, Solve) session, athletes brought real challenges to the group:
🏔️ Fear of bike descents – We discussed building confidence through gradual exposure, practice, and practiced bike-handling techniques.
🚴♀️ Learning to ride aero – We talked about giving yourself time to adapt, practicing in small doses, and letting confidence grow through repetition.
💪 Training through injury challenges – Team members shared experiences with sciatica, recovery, physical therapy, and holistic approaches to staying healthy and moving forward.
What stood out most wasn't the problems—it was how the community stepped up with encouragement, experience, and solutions. That's the power of surrounding yourself with people who genuinely want to see you succeed. ❤️
