The best kind of board meeting. 🏄️

Last Monday, we traded our desk chairs for SUPs and spent the morning on the water together. Now we're just trying to figure out how to convince our boss to let us make this a recurring calendar invite...

Turns out “professional development” can happen on a trail too. Here are some resume-worthy skills your love for the outdoors might have given you.

1. Problem-Solving
From fixing broken gear with limited resources to working within budgetary constraints and building community, you’ve been solving problems all along.

2. Project Management
Planning routes. Coordinating food and transportation. Procuring permits. Managing risk. Cleaning gear and writing trip reports. That’s project management.

3. Customer Service
Leading trips. Teaching outdoor skills. Selling gear. Those experiences build adaptability, empathy, patience, and active listening.

4. Risk Assessment & Management
Assessing weather, wildlife, terrain, group dynamics, and changing conditions isn’t just outdoor knowledge—it’s risk management.

5. Multitasking
Guiding, teaching, troubleshooting, communicating, and adapting—all at the same time. Sound familiar?

6. Communication
Whether it’s customers, coworkers, park staff, or emergency services, strong communication is part of almost every outdoor job.

What do you think? Anything else you’d put on the list?
We dive into it even further on The Link: https://blog.outdoorprolink.com/6-outdoor-skills-you-probably-already-have-and-can-add-to-your-resume

Meet Adam, our new Controller!

When he’s not keeping the numbers in check, you’ll likely find him training for his next marathon, planning a “runcation,” or dreaming up a road trip to check another Major League Baseball stadium or National Park off his list.

His favorite piece of gear is a trusty utility knife, and if he could be any animal, he’d be a meerkat—loyal to his family, quick on his feet, and always looking out for his crew.

One of his most unforgettable adventures was running the Berlin Marathon before hitting the road with his wife to explore Europe. Tough to beat!

Please help us welcome Adam to the team!
