Aikido and Zen, five days at Crestone Mountain Zen Center — Sept 23–27, with Tres Hofmeister Shihan and Seishin Laurie Nusbaum.

This year's theme is shizentai, the natural body: that balanced uprightness which reveals our inherent capacity for unselfconscious responsiveness. How are the physical and mental postures of shizentai and zazen alike? How do they manifest in our activity?

$395, including lodging and meals. Prior aikido or martial arts experience recommended; meditation experience welcome but not necessary.
