Colorado Mountain Ranch

Week 2 in the books at the Colorado Mountain Ranch!
Wind was the word of the week in Gold Hill. Gusts were kicking up dust and blowing over chairs, but that didn’t stop our campers! The mountainboarders were shredding, the archers were losing their arrows, the creative cabin was bursting with creativity, and our campers got plenty of time in the forested areas of the ranch whether on horseback or foot.
Our overnight/undernight activity contained a palpable energy as the cowboys, cowgirls, and aliens worked together throughout 5 activity stations to uncover the lost dictionary fragments in order to resolve their language barrier, ending in an electric performance of cotton eyed joe.
Amazing amount of memories made in 5 days, all of us here at the ranch can’t wait to do it again!

What a first week at Colorado Mountain Ranch!
The week started with some exciting mountain thunderstorms (and even a little hail!), but it finished with beautiful blue skies and perfect Colorado weather.
Campers spent their days mountain boarding, horseback riding, practicing their gymnastic skills on the mats, getting creative in the arts & crafts building, learning about shelter building and fire safety in outdoor living, and turning the forest into a playground with nature games. One of the biggest highlights was Capture the Flag, played Thursday night during the overnight and again on Friday, bringing plenty of teamwork, strategy, and unforgettable camp memories.

Staff week has commenced!

We had a week full of dressing up and connecting with our inner kids through imagination and PLAY! So much team bonding you would think we have all known each other for years and a whole lot of fun!

We are READY for the campers to arrive tomorrow.

Summer is almost here, but the spring storm a few weeks ago sure did bring some needed moisture to the Ranch!

That snow was crazy, but we are always thankful for a good Spring storm! Anywho, one more month until days look like this at Camp here at CMR.
