If you’re looking for something different to do in Newport, RI, I’d definitely recommend checking out the

We went during the Hall of Fame Open, where you can watch professional tennis on the historic grass courts. Stand tickets start as low as $15, and your ticket also includes admission to tour the International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum, which I thought made it such a great value.

If you want to make a day out of it, you can also add on access to the 1881 Club, where you can grab food and drinks while watching the matches from a shaded area.

Even if you aren’t visiting during tournament week, the International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum is open year round, so you can still tour the museum, walk the beautiful grounds, and see everything from tennis history to memorabilia from some of the greatest players in the sport.

We had such a fun time, and it’s definitely one of my favorite date ideas we’ve done in Newport!

High Protein Muddy Buddies 🍿🤎

If you love Muddy Buddies, you need to try this protein packed popcorn version. It’s crunchy, chocolatey, peanut buttery, and the perfect sweet snack when you’re craving something a little indulgent.

Makes 4 servings

Per serving:
• 180 Calories
• 12g Protein

Ingredients:
• ½ bag LesserEvil Popcorn (or similar brand!)
• ½ cup chocolate chips, melted
• 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
• ½ cup zero-calorie powdered sweetener
• ¼ cup PB2 powder (or peanut butter but will change the calories!)

Directions:

1. Add the popcorn to a large bowl.
2. Melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the popcorn.
3. Mix the PB2 with water until it forms a smooth peanut butter consistency, then drizzle over the popcorn.
4. Toss until evenly coated.
5. Add the protein powder and powdered sweetener.
6. Toss again (or cover the bowl and shake) until everything is fully coated.

Spend the Fourth of July with us in Bristol, Rhode Island. ❤️🤍💙

If you’re looking for one of the best places to celebrate the Fourth of July in New England, add Bristol, RI to your list. The town is full of charm, waterfront views, history, and hosts America’s oldest continuous Fourth of July celebration.

We started at Independence Park, a beautiful waterfront park overlooking Bristol Harbor. It’s one of the best spots to watch the sunset before making your way down the boardwalk, where you’ll pass the marina, boats coming in, and some of Bristol’s most popular waterfront restaurants like DeWolf Tavern and Thames Waterside. They were both absolutely packed for the holiday weekend!

One of the best decisions we made was booking an 8:30 p.m. outdoor reservation at Beach House a few weeks in advance. It honestly felt like a cheat code. Instead of fighting the crowds for a fireworks spot, we enjoyed dinner while watching the fireworks right from our table overlooking the water. It couldn’t have been a better view.

After dinner, we made one last stop at Jules Ice Cream just before they closed. I ordered the Cookie Dough and Brendan got the Peanut Butter Pie. The cookie dough is loaded with huge chunks of cookie dough and chocolate chips, and the Peanut Butter Pie has Reese’s pieces mixed throughout. Safe to say we’ve become regulars… we’ve already been back three times since our first visit a week ago.
