🏀⛹️‍♀️ players don’t think twice or get nervous when # they have to switch hands. Neither should lacrosse players. 🥍

Switching hands isn’t just a stick skill—it’s a movement skill.

It creates space.
It protects your stick.
It opens passing lanes.
It makes defenders hesitate.

The more options you have, the slower the game feels.

Athletes create options. Great lacrosse players use both hands.

Scoring isn’t just about power—it’s about precision. 🥍

The best shooters don’t hope the ball finds the corner. They know where it’s going before it ever leaves their stick.

✔️ Square your shoulders.
✔️ Start with a balanced, athletic stance.
✔️ Finish your follow-through exactly where you want the ball to go.

The ball will usually follow your hands. Your follow-through is your roadmap.

The final step isn’t just taking the shot—it’s beating the goalie. Great players are already visualizing the back of the net before the release.

Slow down. Be intentional. Every rep is teaching your body where the ball belongs.

🌟💙Parents/Coaches:
Im new on the scene but I’ve spend the last 3 years coaching girls under 7, almost exclusively. And I’ve learned so much. This group is the future of women’s lacrosse.

I think we forget that the new beginner…. She’s 5. She’s not 10. But for some reason, we haven’t shifted our expectations of what this “beginner group” is capable of, and we get so frustrated, myself included! This job isn’t easy. It’s an honor and a responsibility.

We don’t need to get better at coaching lacrosse.
We need to get better at coaching five-year-olds.

We need to understand how young girls learn.

We need to rewrite the playbook.

If they don’t leave practice excited...

they may never come back.

They’ll mistake frustration for a lack of talent.

And that’s how potential gets left behind.

If we expect girls to perform...

let’s give them the coaching they deserve.

Because they want to learn...

just as much as we want to teach them.

☝️🌟Youth sports has become really good at building better players.

But girls need more than that.

They need to learn how to move.
How to think.
How to handle pressure when it comes their way.
How to respond when things don’t go their way.
How to lead.
How to trust themselves.

Because development isn’t just physical.

It’s learning how to make a mistake and stay in the game.
How to be uncomfortable and keep going.
How to hear feedback without losing confidence.
How to take a risk.
How to find your voice.
How to believe you belong.

We can’t remove every hard moment from their path.

But we can help prepare them for it.

That’s why GLOW is built around three pillars:

Build the Athlete.
Build the Player.
Build the Person.

Because we’re not just preparing girls for the next game.

We’re preparing them for whatever comes next. 💙⚡️
