🏈 PATRIOTS PRESEASON GAME 1 TAKEAWAYS

The Patriots and Colts finished last night in a 13–13 tie, after Patriots kicker Andy Borregales missed a 49-yard field goal that would have won it.

Even without the starters, there were definitely some positives. The Patriots defense looked solid, forcing multiple turnovers and playing tough from beginning to end. It already had the feel of a Mike Vrabel-coached team — physical, competitive, and never quitting.

The biggest concern? Penalties. Too many big offensive penalties killed promising drives and took points off the table. That’s something they’ll need to clean up quickly.

It’s only preseason Game 1, but there was plenty to like — especially the effort and defense.
