Northeastern University Equestrian Team

As our 2025–2026 season comes to a close, we are sadly saying farewell to our graduating seniors. Each of them has made an incredible impact on the team, whether through serving on E-Board, mentoring new members, or simply being a friend to everyone around them.
While they may be retiring their IHSA numbers, we can’t wait to see all that they accomplish next. Thank you for everything you’ve given to NUEQ. We wish you all the best in this next chapter! ❤️🐴

Yay! Our Huskies had a great time at zones! Zone finals were a smashing success for Wynni Huckaby. She will be making the voyage to NC in May to compete in the Intermediate Fences. We CANNOT wait to cheer her on!

Regionals recap!!
WOW! The huskies had a fabulous and successful trip to regionals this last weekend! Before we get into shoutouts, we want to congratulate everyone for their hard work this season, we are so proud!!!
We want to congratulate the following riders on their tickets secured to zones!

Another special congratulations to our lovely senior captain, Kamryn, for winning the first annual Deb Wesoja memorial Senior Captain award for our region! This award is presented to a senior captain in the region who demonstrates leadership and commitment to horsemanship, and is voted on by the coaches of the region. We are so proud of Kamryn, who is entirely deserving of this award. We are so thankful for her two year tenure as a captain, and incredibly proud that her commitment has been recognized across the region.

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge and honor our region's horse of the year, Uno. He has been a loyal draw for countless riders in our region and zone. Thank you to Jassa and Wishmaker for sharing him with us all, we miss him and are so grateful for all he has done for our team and others.

Whoop!! Tomorrow we're headed to Wishmaker for regionals! Congrats and good luck to the following riders! We can't wait to watch and cheer everyone on!
