What to expect in a class:
- Low-impact, high-intensity: Your joints aren't subjected to a lot of jumping or pounding, but the workout can still elevate your heart rate and build strength.
- Functional movements: Exercises mimic real-life movements such as squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and rotating.
- Mobility and flexibility: Classes include movements designed to improve joint mobility and range of motion.
- Resistance training: Light dumbbells (often 1–3 lbs), and bodyweight exercises are commonly used.
- Music-driven: Like other REFIT programs, movements are performed to motivating music, but with simpler choreography than dance fitness.
