Baserunning rule‼️Runners are protected when running through first base. They lose that protection when their actions show an intent to advance to second.

Intent is determined by the runners actions. Did the runner actually make a move toward 2nd? Did the runner change his/her path? Did the runner demonstrate an attempt to advance? Simply looking toward 2nd or turning your body doesn’t necessarily mean you attempted to advance.

This was such a subtle move by the runner not many would catch but great heads up by the catcher.

Here are snippets of two drills from my 5 drill series that comes with my custom MegRem Training Bats | Path · Contact · Speed half bat. I break down into more details some drills you can do to improve bath path and direction. You can grab yours at trainingbats.com.

Any uppercut, choppy, or loopy hand path will create obvious mish*ts with this bat. It gives you immediate visual feedback on your swing and helps you see exactly where your hand path needs to improve.

Granger, IN! Ashley Burkhardt Training and I are putting on a coaches clinic and 2 kid clinics!

The coaches clinic will cover infield/outfield/hitting drills + how to run a practice. We will also touch on the mental part of the game. With that, you will get a print out of all drills we cover. The kids clinics will focus on infield and hitting.

The coaches clinic registration is live on my website. The kids clinics will open Sept 20th at 7pm EST.

Fairfax, VA✅

This past Monday I decided to go back to DC. I posted about it to see if anyone was interested in a clinic and NVGSA Softball said let’s do it. We filled it by Wednesday. How cool is that?! I’m forever grateful to the coaches and parents who help organize, even with a full plate themselves, so I am able to meet and work with new girls. I couldn’t do what I do without you all! 💛
