Vera Holiday is a Boise, ID based traveling burlesque performer who has been shakin’ across stages since 2019, and taking audiences on a wild ride while she’s at it.

She is the recipient of local awards for “Best Nerdleque” as well as “Burlesque Performance of the Year”, and produces the premier late night drag and burlesque show “Flashed”.

Vera has had the pleasure to perform in multiple festivals, including Texas Burlesque Festival, Metalesque Festival, as well as Q***rly Arts Festival. Vera is also proud to be a resident Latinx cast member of EXOTICA, Boise’s fully q***r and BIPOC drag & burlesque series.

We are thrilled to have Irish Lashes teaching in our upcoming September series ✨

Smooth as gin and sharp as a lash, Irish Lashes (he/him) is here and q***r. Currently residing in Boise, ID, this trans boylesque performer has been blurring gender expectations across North America since 2017. He is happy to dance or host in equal measure, because all performance is a way to express love of the art of burlesque. Notable appearances include: Boise Pride 2025, Kootenay Burlesque Festival 2025 2026, Q***rly Arts Festival 2025, Cabaret of Lights 2024, Fatlesque Fest 2024, and Q***r Prom Seattle 2023.

Irish Lashes has been costuming and crafting for over 25 years. From a young age, his mother insisted he learn to sew his own Halloween costumes. He has dabbled in many other fiber crafts, including knit and crochet, needlepoint, and quilting. Growing up with friends and family who have dietary, sensory, and mobility needs, Irish has always been determined to find alternative options to standard conventions. This inspired designing tulle and organza boas as feather alternatives, as well as quick release variations with accessibility in mind, so everyone can do burlesque! His costumes have graced stages in Washington, Oregon, New York, Georgia, Arizona, and the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender in Las Vegas, NV.

Welcome to the mesmerizing journey into the world of Burlesque at Tease Academy! Our September series includes lectures, movement, and costuming with guest instructors Vera Holiday, Tree City Tease’s own Aiden Antares and Irish Lashes with head mixtress M**f Jones and whole lotta Burly education! Our series is designed to unleash your inner sensuality and empower you with the Art of the Tease. Each week will delve into core elements and allure that define Burlesque.

9/3 - A history of Burlesque (6:15 - 8:15pm)
Lecture and film viewing of the history or Burlesque local & beyond with M**f Jones.

9/10 - Silk Fan dancing (6:15 - 7:15pm)
Master the art of silk fan dancing with Aiden Antares. If you do own a pair of silk fans please bring them, if not we do have fans you can borrow!

9/10 - How to get booked and stay booked. (7:30 - 8:30pm)
Bring your note book to absorb all the “how to’s” with M**f Jones. *There will be an open Q&A at the end of the session*

9/17 - Break aways & reveals (6:15 - 7:15pm)
Costume building/Lecture with costume designer and tailor Irish Lashes.

9/17 - Tassel Twirling (7:30 - 8:30pm)
Learn the ins and outs of how to get those babies twirling with Vera Holiday.

9/24 The Art of the Tease (6:15 - 8:15pm)
Get INTO it with this two hour class focusing on movement, emotion, and the empowering art of the tease with M**f Jones.
