With the rise of AI, you’d think people aren’t getting jobs simply because they’re being replaced by technology. But I actually learned that many large companies are now using AI systems to screen job applications before a human ever sees them. If the system flags something on your application, you can be automatically rejected. What’s even more concerning is that many companies use the same or similar systems, meaning if you’re flagged once, it could negatively impact your chances with multiple employers. So if you’re struggling to land a job, it may not be a reflection of your qualifications at all. The growing reliance on AI in hiring is becoming a real issue that no one talks about.
