We’re excited to welcome Mr. JC Finfrock to the Walker’s Martial Arts family!

After his son recently joined us and began his own martial arts journey, Mr. Finfrock got that familiar itch to step back onto the mat himself — and we’re glad he did!

Mr. Finfrock brings great experience with him, having trained with our dear friend, the late Grandmaster Scott Brown. That connection makes having him join us even more meaningful.

There’s something special about seeing a father and son share the martial arts journey together, and we’re excited to have both of them as part of our family.

LEGACY.

One of the greatest parts of being here since 1999 is getting to see generations of families come through our doors.

Angelo’s father was one of our very first students way back in the early days of Walker’s Martial Arts. Now, all these years later, his son Angelo is starting his own martial arts journey with us.

And after his very first class… he broke his first board!

There’s something pretty special about watching the next generation step onto the same floor their parents once trained on.

Great job, Angelo!

What a great day of training, learning, and fellowship!

Had an awesome time at the Modern Arnis Seminar hosted by Kosho Kai Karate in Pekin and conducted by Grandmaster Rodolfo Poblacion Jr.

There is always more to learn, and opportunities like this are a great reminder that the martial arts journey never stops. We appreciate the knowledge shared, the time on the floor, and the opportunity to train alongside fellow martial artists.

A big thank you to Kosho Kai Karate for the invitation and outstanding hospitality, and to Grandmaster Poblacion for an excellent seminar.

Come enjoy some hiking, fresh air, and the beautiful scenery of Starved Rock with us on October 10 at 10:00 a.m. It’s a great chance to get outside, spend time together, and enjoy one of Illinois’ most scenic destinations.
