A note from the MSA VP and newly appointed MSA Snow Predictor…
I first want to congratulate our Past President, Fred Bailey, again for being inducted into the International Snowmobile Hall of Fame. It’s an honor to learn from you and call you my friend.
I can speak for the entire MSA Board when I say we want to thank each and every person who attended the Appropriations Meeting and then stayed for our Montana Snowmobile Association Board Meeting. We do not take lightly that a full day, or in some cases two days, are spent traveling to and then sitting through an all-day meeting. Your time is important, your willingness to volunteer is extremely important, and we absolutely appreciate you all. For the first time in quite some time, we had a representative from every MSA club except two. That’s 25 clubs that showed up to be involved in the decision-making for the future of Montana snowmobiling. It was a great meeting with a lot of great things accomplished.
We have to mention that Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is a great partner with MSA, and Seth McArthur is a rock star at doing everything he can to help us accomplish our goals.
Fun highlights…
🔸️Newsletter advertising and content changes are coming this season. We will have more information on this soon. Until then, be talking to folks about advertising in our MSA Newsletter! Thank you to Connie Pollard for all the hard work with the newsletter each season.
🔸️The MSA Trans Montana Snowmobile NAMI Charity Ride is being planned so stay tuned for those details in the very near future. This is such a great event for a great Montana charity.
🔸️Website and email address updates and improvements are coming. Thanks, Colin Watts for making these much-needed changes.
🔸️MSA will partner with Flathead Snowmobile Association and have a booth at the Montana Snow Show. MSA will also be partnering with the Upper Yellowstone Snowmobile Club to have a booth at the Colorado SnoMo Show. We welcome your participation at either of these shows, and if you know of other events MSA should attend, please let a Board member know.
🔸️ Montana will again be hosting the American Council of Snowmobile Associations (ACSA) Mountain Riding Summit which will be held in West Yellowstone. MSA will be playing a large role in the activities and planning of the event. We will put out more information specific to the event very soon. It’s all about our youth again…so put it on your radar.
🔸️ Huge news! We will be announcing a contest to update the Montana Snowmobile Association logo! Stay tuned for that one.
🔸️Now the biggest news of all. We unanimously voted to create a Montana Snowmobile Association Youth Ambassador group. This will be a stand-alone group of Montana youth advocating for the sports of snowmobiling and off-roading. This group will be established and run by our youth ambassadors. Alec Manseau has been the MSA Youth Ambassador for some time, so he will be heading up the creation of this group. We have also asked Zandria Bancroft to work with Alec as the two founders of this group. They will have a Youth Advisor to help them make critical decisions and help navigate the initial financial start-up. This is exciting for Montana’s snowmobiling and OHV youth. As things develop, there will be more specific information.

In closing…we have received over a ½” of rain in the last 48 hours here at the ranch….it’s going to be an epic 2026/27 snow season…(Those that know…know.)
