Alabama players are making some noise! Check out these standout performances at BIG tournaments across the nation.
Braden Hannig ā Tuscaloosa native Braden Hannig captured a 2026 ITA Summer Masters Series title, earning his spot in the ITA National Summer Championships. He also will make his debut for the Alabama Crimson Tide for the 2026/2027 season. BIG TIME.

Pippa and Jane Roy brought home a Silver Ball after finishing runner-up at the 2026 USTA National Mother & Daughter Grass Court Championships at Longwood Cricket Club in Boston. Talk about mowing down the competitionā¦

Corrine Winningham captured the Girlsā 16 Singles Championship at the 2026 USTA Southern Level 3 Closed in Mobile! She is really living up to her name!

Veterans Memorial Park for a Labor Day Weekend Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament on September 5, 2026. Match play starts at 8:30 AM.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles āFlipā Phillips.
Flip attended Samford University and was a longtime teaching professional at several locations throughout Alabama, most notably Lakeshore and Highland Park Racquet Club. He was a dedicated tennis professional who touched the lives of many players and families throughout his career.
Flip was inducted into the Alabama Tennis Foundation Hall of Fame in 2020, an honor that recognized his many contributions to tennis in Alabama.
Flip was a kind and caring soul who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Please keep Flipās family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 17, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m.

Canāt wait to see how tennis explodes in Northeast Alabama when all these teachers join the USTA Net Gen program and start running tennis in their schools! Thanks to Gadsden City High Athletics for hosting and letting us use their beautiful gym.

The 2026 JTT Alabama State Championships are in the books!
We had more than 800 kids participate and a record-breaking 109 teams compete. We're incredibly thankful for all the volunteers, staff, coaches, parents, and players who made this tournament such an amazing experience.
Can't wait to see you next year for an even bigger and better championship!
