This tournament honors the legacy of Firemedic Rickey Davis while supporting the mission of the Center Point Firefighters Foundation. Proceeds will help fund firefighter scholarships, community outreach programs, charitable initiatives, and support for first responders in our community.

Although the Rickey Davis Memorial Golf Tournament is a long-standing tradition, this is the first year it’s being hosted by the Center Point Firefighters Foundation. Huge shoutout to CrossFit Velo in Prattville, Alabama, for sharing this photo from their early morning class with their new AED! It was even cooler to recognize so many familiar faces in the picture. We’re grateful to know this gym has an AED for the the unexpected.

We hope it never has to be used, but if a workout ever becomes a little too intense, they’ll be ready. That’s exactly why having an AED matters.

Nicholas was one of our Spring 2026 Rescuer Scholarship recipients, and it’s been exciting to watch him take the next step in his career. Seeing scholarship recipients achieve their goals is exactly why we started this program.

Rescuer’s 2nd Annual Vendor Event is back, and we’re excited to bring together local businesses, community members, and supporters for a great cause.

This year’s event will take place during Oktoberfest at Cahaba Brewing Company, one of their biggest events of the year. With large crowds, great food, live entertainment, and an incredible atmosphere, it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase your business and connect with the community.

Proceeds from the event help fund the Rescuer Scholarship, which supports future firefighters pursuing their careers in the fire service.
