‼️‼️ ROSTER ANNOUNCEMENT‼️‼️

PLAYERS — FIND YOUR WHY!!!!

September 1 is here.
For some of you, today may bring phone calls, texts, and conversations you’ve dreamed about. For others, today may be much quieter than you hoped.

Do not let either one define you.
College softball recruiting is changing rapidly. The transfer portal has given Division I programs another avenue to fill immediate needs with experienced college players. On top of that, the potential impact of 5-for-5 roster/recruiting dynamics could create an even bigger logjam, with more players competing for a limited number of opportunities.

That means recruiting can be difficult—even for really good softball players.

A lack of a D1 call does not mean you aren't talented enough. It doesn't erase the work you've put in, the player you've become, or the opportunities that are still ahead of you.

And remember this:
D1 is not the only place where great softball is played.
There are outstanding programs, coaches, educations, championships, and life-changing opportunities at every level of college softball. The goal shouldn't simply be to have “D1” beside your name.

The goal is to find YOUR place.
Find the school that believes in you.
Find coaches who want to develop you.
Find teammates who become family.
Find an education that prepares you for life after softball.
Find somewhere you can compete, grow and make an impact.
Most importantly, find your WHY.
Why do you love this game?
Why do you practice when nobody is watching?
Why do you get back up after failure?
Why did you start playing softball in the first place?

If your entire WHY is based on an offer, a ranking, a phone call, or a division beside a school's name, recruiting will control your happiness.
- Don't give it that power.

To the player whose phone is ringing today — stay humble, grateful and hungry.
To the player whose phone isn't ringing — KEEP GOING.
Your journey may take longer.
Your path may look different.
Your opportunity may come from somewhere you never expected.
And that's okay.

September 1 is a date on the recruiting calendar. It is NOT a measurement of your worth as a player or as a person.
Keep working. Keep developing. Keep being a great teammate. Keep taking care of your academics. Keep competing.
Because when softball eventually ends for all of y’all, nobody will remember what happened to you on September 1.

They'll remember who you became along the way.
Find your WHY. Trust your journey. And never let recruiting steal your love for the game.
