The world is on our horizon. 🌎⛵

There’s something extraordinary about looking out across the water and seeing sails from around the world moving along the Coastal Mississippi horizon.

For nearly two weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming sailors from across the globe to our shores for the Hobie 16 International Championship regatta, filling our waters with color, movement and moments worth lingering for.

Today and tomorrow offer the final chances to experience it for yourself. Racing begins at 11:30 a.m. each day.

Come find your place along the coast, settle in and watch the horizon come alive. 🌊✨

Fall is here, and yours could look like this. 🍂☀️

Blue skies, beautiful weather, waterfront views and a calendar filled with festivals, live music and some of the biggest events of the year.

It’s also a season of movement. Migrating birds and other wildlife make their way through Coastal Mississippi, bringing even more life to our shorelines, waterways and natural spaces. 🐦🌾

Here, fall means more time outside, more weekends worth planning around and plenty of sunshine left to soak up.

Coastal Mississippi is returning to Pasadena this year! 🌹🌊

For the third year in a row, Mississippi will take center stage at the iconic Rose Parade on New Year’s Day, and Coastal Mississippi will once again be part of the celebration.

This year’s Visit Mississippi float, “Mississippi: Where Hospitality is Always on the Menu,” celebrates the state’s culinary scene, with plenty of Coastal Mississippi details woven throughout. Look closely and you’ll spot a lighthouse, Gulf seafood, Barq’s Root B**r and more nods to the flavors, stories and coastal character of our region.

The float will also feature a live performance by Mississippi’s own Jamal Roberts, winner of American Idol Season 23.

Keep an eye out for a little piece of Coastal Mississippi as the float makes its way through Pasadena this New Year’s Day! 🌹

🦋 Follow the butterflies to Pass Christian this fall.

Butterflies in the Pass Monarch Festival returns to War Memorial Park on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. for a colorful celebration of Monarch butterflies, native plants and the pollinators that help Coastal Mississippi thrive.

The free, family-friendly festival begins with a Butterfly Walking Parade, inviting guests of all ages, and even four-legged friends, to dress in their favorite butterfly-inspired attire. Spend the morning exploring educational exhibits, hearing from experts, discovering native plants and wildlife, and browsing local vendors at the Pass Market.

The Pascagoula River Paddle Battle returns October 2–3 for its 10th anniversary, inviting paddlers to experience one of Coastal Mississippi’s most remarkable waterways.

Take on the signature 11.5-mile race from Moss Point to Pascagoula, surrounded by wetlands, wildlife and the natural beauty of the Pascagoula River, the largest free-flowing, unimpeded river system in the contiguous United States.

And new this year: Fins Up! 🤙 In honor of Pascagoula native Jimmy Buffett, the 2-mile Fins Up Sprint brings a shorter, fast-paced race to the anniversary celebration.

Whether you’re racing for the finish line or simply ready for a new adventure on the water, this is one fall weekend worth paddling for.

⛳ One month until college golf takes center stage at Fallen Oak.

The Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational returns October 16–19, bringing some of the nation’s top collegiate golf programs to Beau Rivage’s Tom Fazio-designed Fallen Oak in Saucier.

Mississippi’s own Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss will welcome teams from across the country for three days of NCAA competition, culminating in the team championship on Monday, October 19.

Beyond the course, spectators can settle into a College Game Day atmosphere with tailgating on the finishing hole. Wear your school colors, choose your team and experience the tournament from just beyond the ropes.

Admission is free and open to the public, with Make-A-Wish Mississippi serving as the event’s designated charity.
