PWRC Spring Feeder Race #3 - Saturday, June 20th 2026

Registration Required by Wednesday June 17th 10pm

This PWRC Spring Feeder race #3 for the 2026 season will be held on Saturday, June 20th, on the Feeder Canal. Race participation is open to all levels of PWRC whitewater slalom paddlers (all groups) and to non-PWRC racers. Each race entry is free to PWRC members; cost for nonmembers is $20.

Schedule: Saturday, June 20th

9 am: course closed for practice
9:15 am: racer’s meeting
9:15am: judges meeting
10 am: race start (Run 1)
and Run 2 will start 20 mins after 1st Run completes

The course will be open for practice prior to the race.

If you are not a current ACA member, please bring $10 in cash to each race to cover the one-time ACA event registration, as is needed for race insurance.

Note: If you are in the PWRC Beginner Group or have less than one year of slalom paddling experience with a coach, check with your coach prior to registration to confirm this race is appropriate for you.

Registration for the June 20th race closes at 10pm on Wednesday June 17th. No late registrations will be accepted.

Dear PWRC Friends and Family,

Silvan's retirement celebration is just around the corner--a week away! The event will be a potluck and, as mentioned, will take place at the Brookmont Church/Community Center (4000 Virginia Place) from 6-9 PM on Saturday, May 2. For those who are able to attend, please use the Sign-Up Genius link below to indicate what you would like to bring. Also, many of you expressed an interest in contributing to a gift for Silvan. If you are interested, please Venmo me at -Sanders-1. Your name will be included on a card for Silvan. We will do a little research into what he might like or need.

Dear PWRC Families and Friends,

On Saturday, May 2, 2026, PWRC will be hosting an event to celebrate the distinguished coaching career of Silvan Poberaj. Altogether, Silvan has been coaching U.S. slalom paddlers for roughly 33 years. We have been fortunate at PWRC to have had Silvan as club coach for the past nine years. Silvan’s successful tenure with the club can be attributed to his calm, steady demeanor, devotion to paddlers at all levels and impeccable work ethic.

It is now time to celebrate Silvan!! We hope you can join us for this meaningful occasion. Bring your stories, laughter and well wishes for Silvan!
