🌿 TRAIL PARTY POSTPONED 🌿
With the heat advisories in the forecast over the next couple of weeks, FAST has asked us to postpone our Trail Party until we have some much more manageable weather.
We also discovered that the section of Tunnel Vision along Sugar Creek we were planning to tackle has already been weed-whacked, so we’re going to use this opportunity to regroup and make sure our efforts are going where they’re needed most.
Stay tuned for a new date and possibly a new section of trail that could really use the extra hands. We’ll get this Trail Party back on the calendar when the weather cooperates and we can make the biggest impact. 🌿🛠️
Thanks to FAST, Grindstone Coffee, and everyone who planned on coming out to help!

Next Friday night, we’re trading our weekly group ride for a Trail Party! 🌿🛠️
Join Phat Tire Bike Shop – Bella Vista, FAST, and Grindstone Coffee on Friday, August 14 at 6 PM as we clean up the section of Tunnel Vision along Sugar Creek up to the golf course.
FAST will provide the equipment, Phat Tire will provide the snacks, and Grindstone Coffee will keep us fueled with coffee. ☕️
Once the work is done, stick around and hang out with us behind the shop. Come lend a hand and help give back to the trails we all enjoy.

On Sunday, our cycling community came together to ride in memory of Tim Byrd.

Tim was a familiar face at Phat Tire, Pedal It Forward, Gnargo, the Bentonville Town Tour, and throughout Northwest Arkansas. He was always willing to share his knowledge, lend a hand, or simply brighten the room with his smile.

Seeing so many friends, family members, volunteers, and riders gather to celebrate his life was a powerful reminder of the impact one person can have on an entire community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring Tim. His kindness, generosity, and love for bicycles will continue to ride with us.

Rest easy, Tim. You will be greatly missed.

Tim had a true heart of servitude. He was always putting others before himself and giving in ways that are rarely seen in our society these days. Tim had a heart of gold and was truly one of the kindest men I have ever had the privilege of knowing. He was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought or any expectation of something in return. You could always count on Tim to be in good spirits, wearing that huge, magnetic smile of his. It was as if he simply never had a bad day. His joy was genuine, contagious, and something you could feel the moment he walked into a room.Tim loved his life here in Bentonville, a life that revolved around cycling, community, and—most importantly—people. Wherever he went, he found a way to love on others, encourage them, and make them feel valued. He had a remarkable ability to make a positive impact simply by being himself.Whether it was working at Phat Tire Bike Shop, volunteering with Pedal It Forward, serving at First Church of Bentonville, or riding with Bentonville Moves, Tim left his mark. His presence mattered. His kindness mattered. And the lives he touched are better because he was part of them.Tim, you will be sorely missed. The cycling community, our community, and all of us who were fortunate enough to cross paths with you have lost someone truly special. Thank you for showing us what it looks like to live generously, serve others, love deeply, and bring joy wherever you go.Until we meet again, my friend. I look forward to shredding some incredible trails with you in Heaven soon enough. Ride on, Tim. You will never be forgotten.

A ride in Tim’s memory is being organized with a few partners, we will let everyone know as soon as we have it set.

We were honored to support the first Trail of Tears Remembrance Ride on June 20th.
This meaningful ride followed part of the historic Trail of Tears route through Northwest Arkansas into Oklahoma, bringing riders together to remember, reflect, and learn about this important chapter in our nation’s history.
The ride raised $2,500 for the Cherokee Nation Foundation, supporting its mission while honoring the legacy and resilience of the Cherokee people.
Thank you to Pea Ridge Bike Camp and Historic Cane Hill for their hospitality and support in making this event possible.
We’re grateful to have played a small role in supporting the riders and look forward to seeing this event continue to grow.
