HBWC Parents,

Our first practice is shaping up to be the largest group we’ve ever had, and we’re continuing to grow! We already have several families committed to joining us after football season wraps up. With our current roster and the growth we anticipate, we should have 30–40 wrestlers at our first practice.
While this is incredibly exciting, it also presents a challenge. Two coaches simply cannot give 30–40 wrestlers the individual attention and coaching they deserve.

This is where YOU come in!

In every successful wrestling program, parents play a huge role. Whether it’s getting wrestlers to practice and tournaments, helping with fundraisers, or supporting the club behind the scenes, our parent group is a critical part of HBWC.

Now, we need your help on the mat.

For the next two Saturdays, I’ll be hosting a Parent Coaching Clinic in our wrestling room. We’ll cover:

🥇 Folkstyle wrestling rules
🥇 Basic techniques and positions
🥇 The fundamentals we teach during our first practice
🥇 How you can effectively help wrestlers during practice and at tournaments

📅 Dates: 9/5 & 9/12
⏰ Time: 9:00–11:00 AM
📍 Location: HBWC Wrestling Room

You don’t need to be a former wrestler or an experienced coach to help. We’ll teach you what you need to know.

The goal is to build a strong group of parent volunteers who can get involved on the practice mat and at our tournaments, allowing our coaches to reach more wrestlers and give every kid the attention they deserve.

Our club is growing, and that’s a great problem to have—but we need our HBWC family to grow with it.
