Happy first day of September! We’ve got a packed month ahead at The Quiver with fall specials, programs, and some friendly competition!

Velvet season wrapped up faster than it felt like it started. Now archery opener is closing in, and if you're anything like us, your shot has probably gotten a little rusty over the summer months.

That's exactly what The Quiver is here for. Come out before the season opens at the end of the month and get your setup dialed in the right way, not the morning of. We've got 3D targets out every single weekend so you can practice on something that actually looks like what you're hunting, we can set your range in yards or meters depending on how you train, and we keep a full lineup of faces on hand for anyone still working on their sight in.

Who's coming out this week to knock the rust off?

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the 1001 Arrow Challenge last weekend! It was incredible to see your determination as you worked toward the goal of shooting 1,001 arrows. Congratulations to everyone who took on the challenge!

If archery has been sitting on your “I should try that” list, August is the month to finally do it.

Start with Try Archery or Intro to Archery. Put your skills to the test in Fall League Nights, a Pin Shoot, the 1001 Arrow Challenge or one of our August tournaments. Families can also join us for Archery Tag, the Homeschool Club Kickoff and a free Community Day.

Tripp first came to The Quiver to compete in our State Tournament in June. He has been back almost every day since.

The range quickly became a second home for Tripp, where he often stays as long as he can to practice, improve, and spend time with the archery community.

Tripp first picked up a bow in elementary school and continued developing his skills through one-on-one coaching and competition throughout high school. Today, he shoots a Hoyt Axiom Olympic-style recurve. His dedication has earned him an archery scholarship to the University of Pikeville, where he’ll continue competing at the collegiate level.

One of his proudest moments came during his first year of competition, when he pushed the defending state champion into a one-arrow shoot-off. Still, his favorite part of the sport is the community.

“I love how it brings everyone together. People from different places and different abilities all support each other.”

We’re proud to be part of Tripp’s journey and even prouder that he has made The Quiver his second home!
