⚾ **LEGENDS TRYOUTS: WHAT TO KNOW**

Tryout day is almost here! We wanted to answer a few of the questions we get every year.

🔴 **Who should come?**
Everyone! Whether your player is already on a Legends team, has never played travel baseball, or is somewhere in between, we would love to see them.

🔴 **What are coaches looking for?**
We're looking at much more than just who hits the ball the farthest. Hustle, attitude, effort, coachability, athleticism, and how players respond during instruction all matter. We want players who love to compete and love being part of a team.

🔴 **My child is already on a Legends team. Do they still need to attend?**
Returning players have a place in our organization, but we encourage everyone to participate. Going through the evaluation process is a valuable experience and helps us place players on the team that gives them the best opportunity to develop.

🔴 **Do you only have elite-level teams?**
No! One of the things we're most excited about this year is the growth of our organization. We will have teams at multiple competitive levels so players can be placed where they have the best opportunity to develop, compete, and enjoy the game.

🔴 **Will teams be picked that day?**
No. Building teams takes time. Coaches meet after tryouts, discuss evaluations, and work through a lot of moving pieces to build rosters that are best for the players and the organization. Please be patient as we finalize everything.

🔴 **What if we can't make tryouts?**
Reach out to us! We can schedule a private evaluation whenever possible.

🔴 **What should my player bring?**
Bring your normal baseball gear, plenty of water, and a great attitude. We will take care of the rest.

At Legends, we believe baseball should challenge kids, grow their confidence, and help them fall even more in love with the game. We can't wait to meet everyone this Saturday!

⚾ Welcome to the Legends family, Coach Jack James! ⚾

We're excited to announce that Jack James is joining our training staff at Legends!

Jack is a former Benton High School middle infielder and pitcher who continued his baseball career at Arkansas Baptist College. Although an injury cut his playing career short, it opened the door to something he has become incredibly passionate about: helping the next generation of players fall in love with the game.

Coach Jack will be offering instruction in **hitting, pitching, and fielding**, bringing a well-rounded approach to player development. His focus is on teaching the fundamentals, building confidence, and creating an environment where young athletes can grow both on and off the field.

Please help us give Coach Jack a warm Legends welcome! We can't wait for our athletes to learn from someone who genuinely loves the game and is committed to helping kids reach their potential.

We're also looking to add committed coaches to the Legends family. We want coaches who understand the value of structure, consistency, and clear expectations, but who have never lost sight of the fact that this is a game meant for kids to enjoy. Coaches who teach, encourage, hold players accountable, and remember that developing young people always comes before chasing trophies.

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has reached out about Legends Tryouts and for being patient as we finalize everything.

The excitement around next season has been incredible, and we're grateful so many families want to be a part of what we're building.

When you have an organization with multiple teams, coaches, and age groups, there are a lot of moving parts that have to come together before we can make the official announcement. We want to make sure we get it right, not just get it out.

The wait is almost over. Our official tryout announcement drops tonight, and we can't wait to share what's ahead.

As another season comes to a close, I just wanted to say thank you to every Legends family and coach.

Watching all of you chase dreams alongside your kids has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. For many of us, this was our first full baseball season as Legends, and like every season, it came with plenty of highs and a few lows. That's part of the game, and it's part of the growth.

My biggest hope is that your kids continue to fall in love with baseball and continue to love the Legends facility, their home away from home. I know how special this game can be, and I truly love getting to play even a small role in each player's journey.

Now it's time for a little rest...Let the offseason begin!

We've got some exciting events and announcements coming over the next few weeks that I can't wait to share with everyone.

Thank you for trusting us with your kids, for supporting one another, and for representing Legends with integrity all season long. That's what this organization is all about.

⚾❤️ This Father’s Day weekend, baseball fields across Arkansas will be filled with Legends players and their families making memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️⚾

From early morning games to long days at the ballpark, we’ll have multiple Legends teams competing in tournaments across the state this weekend. While we all love the wins, the rings, and the championships, the truth is that years from now, those won’t be the things most of us remember.

We’ll remember the car rides.
We’ll remember the conversations between games.
We’ll remember the laughs in the dugout.
We’ll remember the dads throwing batting practice, carrying equipment, cheering from the stands, and being there every step of the way.

Baseball gives us something special—a chance to spend countless hours together while our kids grow up right before our eyes.

To all of our Legends dads, coaches, grandfathers, and father figures: thank you for investing your time, energy, and love into these young athletes. These moments may feel ordinary today, but one day you’ll realize they were some of the most important moments of all.

Enjoy every inning. Every tournament. Every hug after a game. Every ride home.

Because one day you’ll blink, and the little ballplayer standing beside you won’t be so little anymore.
