Hi Studio family,

Please double check that you have your child’s T-shirt size Entered in your portal. We need that done no later than this evening so we can get those sizes turned in for T-shirts. Everyone in the studio receives a T-shirt. If your size isn’t listed, we won’t be able to order. All you have to do is go into your portal, into your information and select size. If you did that on your registration form, then you should be good. We will unfortunately not be able to do it for you as we are in and out of the office with classes but do let us know if you have questions.



Also if you’re a PARENT who would like a T-shirt to walk in the days parade or just to have a T-shirt, you need to physically come in and sign your name up on the sign-up sheet on the glass panel of the office. We can’t take calls for sign ups as well as please don’t leave on the answering machine. This is because we’re in and out of the office with classes and don’t want to miss anything; Signing the sheet ensures you get your name down if you’d like a shirt and keeps all organized. The last day to sign up is TOMORROW SEPTEMBER 1st! You must also pay before we can order your shirt. That can be done in The office.

Miss Laynie Brock- Premier Team Assistant Coach

My name is Laynie Brock, and I graduated from Alicia’s this past season. I’m so excited to be returning to Alicia’s this season as a staff member! I’m currently attending Wake Tech Community College, where I’m pursuing a career in Sonography while staying in Raleigh. Outside of school and dance, I love spending time with my friends and family, going to the beach, and trying new things. I’ve always had such a strong passion and love for dance, and I’m so excited to continue growing in that passion while sharing my love for dance with others. ✨💓 STAFF SPOTLIGHT 💓✨

Ms. Anna Kate Smith

I am so excited to begin my second season as a dance teacher! I am so blessed to be back at the place that helped raise me into the person I am today!

I danced at ASOPA from when I was 3 years old until I graduated high school in 2022. I trained in ballet, jazz, tap, clogging, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, and hip hop. I was a member of both Alicia’s Performing Company and Alicia’s Sizzling Stompers. Before coming back to teach at ASOPA, I attended Meredith College where I continued my dance career. I graduated in 2025 with my Bachelor of Science in Health, Exercise and Sport Sciences. Currently, I am a second-year Doctor of Occupational Therapy student at Methodist University, where I will graduate in 2028. I am truly blessed to be able to pursue both of my passions! My favorite styles of dance are either clogging, tap, or jazz! A few fun facts about me are that I absolutely love Disney World, I love Diet Coke from McDonalds, and spending time with my family and friends. I am so excited for season 42 at ASOPA!

✨🩷 STAFF SPOTLIGHT 🩷✨ ANDREA MCLAMB🫶🏻

Andrea  has called Alicia’s School of Performing Arts her dance home since she was just three years old. Her love for dance grew from student to teacher when she began teaching for Alicia at age 17. With more than 35 years of dance experience, Andrea has taught ballet, tap, jazz, and clogging and continues to share her love of dance with students of all ages.

Throughout the years, Andrea has received extensive training through dance workshops, intensives, and conventions and has had the opportunity to learn from many talented choreographers. She has earned numerous awards as both a competitive dancer and competitive coach and also enjoys choreographing competition and pageant solos.

This season, Andrea teaches BTJ 3 and 4, Intermediate Clogging 2, Adult Clogging, Junior Clogging, and Senior Tap.

Outside the studio, Andrea loves spending time with her husband of 20 years, Matthew, their son Mason, 13, and daughter Madison, 7, who has also danced at Alicia’s since she was three.

After growing up at Alicia’s, Andrea is grateful to now pour into the next generation of dancers at the studio that helped shape her own love of dance. She is so excited for another wonderful year at Alicia’s and can’t wait to see her students shine!

💛✨ STAFF SPOTLIGHT ✨💛

Our TINY TWOs teacher: Kymora Jackson

Kymora has been dancing since the age of 4 and is entering into her senior year after 13 years of training at Alicia’s School of Performing Arts. She is a proud member of Alicia’s Competition Team and has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, pointe, hip-hop, and clogging. Throughout her dance journey, she has had the opportunity to perform in productions such as Swan Lake. Kymora is excited to spend one last year at the studio she has always been able to call home and is looking forward to making the best memories with everyone. She is also so excited to have the opportunity to teach the two-year-olds and share her love of dance with the next generation. Outside of the studio, Kymora is involved in pageantry and is passionate about asthma awareness advocacy through her platform, Breathe Better, Live Better. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, grabbing Chick-fil-A, and spending time with friends and family at Texas Roadhouse.
