It's so much easier to start the day when the day before never really ended.
Abbey Bike Tools
Bicycle tool manufacture.
dub cranks don't stand a chance!
We've got modern electric impacts but for tasks in the shop I'll always go for a pneumatic one. Smaller, lighter, faster and just easier on the body. Definitely helps that we've got nearly 60cfm of compressor output.
Playing with our new valve core tool. The screw can hide a pair of valve cores inside. $15, available now on our site.

New tools!
We've got a couple of new widgets for the MADE show this weekend. First up is the new post mount facer. This little feller will clean paint and square the face relative to the thread. These sold out super fast but we're taking orders for the next batch.
Next up we have a presta valve core tool. Sure pliers work but a nice little tool never hurt anyone. There's even room inside to store a pair of valve cores.

Making Team Issue Hammers again. Hands down the silliest thing we've ever been asked to make but at the same time, they're pretty fun to make and great to swing around. The boss man doing a pretty good job stacking those dimes.

It's with sadness that we share the news of Randy Villanueva passing away. Might seem like an odd thing for us to share but Randy was part of Abbeys origin, a group of friends that traveled around the United States making road races happen. This group of people helped shape the company we are today in ways that are to describe.
I worked with Randy at Bissell Pro Cycling and Smart Stop, shared many a hotel room with the guy. He was quick to grab a hammer, still the only person I've seen cut steer tubes with a sawzall, really damn good at working on bikes and a hard worker. He might have been an acquired taste but he was as solid as they come.
Happy trails Randy, happy trails.

Time to make another batch of the Harbour Dishing Gauge. Seeing this beast of a bridge in person at the Spoken show put some new perspective on this new tool. This tool also got an update to work with 32" wheels. We will have the new feet available to existing customers soon.
We're at the SPOKEN show in Sydney. Which of course means we need to bring something silly. Titanium brooms don't fly so well so we made some table top corn hole boards from AEROSPACE GRADE ALUMINUM. This started as a joke with another machine shop and our intern Malcolm turned this into reality. There's a time to be serious and this isn't it.
