Most people build the wrong engine when training for Mount Shasta. They focus too much on high intensity training and max heart rate, when they really need to be training for sustained controlled energy over long periods of time.

Comment "Mistakes" and I'll send you the 3 biggest training mistakes I see mountaineers make. 🏔️

The first one is not training specifically for the mountains. Yes, workout classes and random runs and once-in-a-while workouts can be great but they're not always going to confidently take you to the top of a mountain (especially one like Shasta).
