Now Recruiting: Volleyball Coaches for Northern Edge Volleyball Club

Northern Edge is looking for coaches to join our team for the 2027 season. We're looking to fill positions across our 10U to 17U teams.

What we're looking for:
• Playing or coaching experience in volleyball (competitive club experience a plus, but not required)
• A positive, athlete-first coaching philosophy
• Reliability and good communication with athletes and parents
• Willingness to complete required background checks and certifications (e.g., Safe Sport, USAV/JVA)

What you'll get:
• Compensation
• Support from our Development Coordinator and Club Director(s), including coach training and mentorship
• A club that genuinely cares about athlete development, not just wins
• The chance to shape young athletes' skills, confidence, and love of the game
• Time commitment: Practices 2-3 times per week plus weekend tournaments during the season months.

Why the new name?
You may be wondering why the club has a new name this year. Northern Edge Volleyball Club is now a separate organization from the high school volleyball program. This summer, we formed a nonprofit organization and a new board that will independently oversee and run the club.

The name change also helps clarify that our club is not affiliated with the Junior Olympic (JO) Volleyball Association.

Our mission is to provide youth athletes with high-quality volleyball training, opportunities to compete, and character development in a positive, inclusive, and growth-focused environment.

We’re excited about this new direction and the opportunities it creates for our athletes and families!

🌟 Bemidji Volleyball Update: Bemidji Summer Showdown Highlights!🌟

The Bemidji Summer Showdown wrapped up on Tuesday, and we are excited to share the highlights!

🏐 12u Tournament (Saturday): Bemidji 12-Alicia and Bemidji 12-Nicole both fought hard and made it to the gold bracket. Additionally, Bemidji 12-Casey/Abby and Bemidji 12-Josie/Taylor also reached the silver bracket!

🏐 16u Tournament (Sunday): Bemidji 16-Lacy shined and made it to the gold bracket, while Bemidji 16-Hayli played strong and secured a spot in the silver bracket. Great job, teams!

🏐 14u Tournament (Monday): Bemidji 14-Kate and Bemidji 13-Katie/Ella reached the gold bracket with impressive performances. Bemidji 14-Beth/Taylor also made it to the silver bracket. Special shoutout to Bemidji 13-LeeAnne/Ashley for winning the championship in the iron bracket!

🏐 17/18u Tournament (Tuesday): Bemidji 16-Lacy excelled and took home the championship in the silver bracket!

This year was filled with fun and hard work, and our teams truly represented Bemidji with pride. We can't wait for next year's season!

🏐 Exciting news from the Bemidji Summer Showdown! All three of our 10U teams made it to the gold bracket today, showcasing incredible teamwork and dedication! Your hard work truly paid off.

Congratulations to Bemidji 10 White-Catelyn for clinching the win and taking 1st place in the gold bracket! What a fantastic way to close out the season!
