MEET THE COACH!
Brett Stoner 🤝 Head Coach 11u!

We are thrilled to welcome Coach Brett back for his 4th season leading these boys!

Brett brings seven years of youth baseball coaching experience and a genuine passion for helping young players learn, grow, and enjoy the game. He loves teaching the fundamentals of baseball and, most of all, seeing players take what they work on in practice and apply it during games.

In addition to baseball, Brett coaches both of his children's basketball teams, giving him the opportunity to work with young athletes across multiple sports. He believes youth sports are about more than just winning—they're about building confidence, learning how to work together, developing good habits, and having fun along the way.

As a coach, Brett believes EFFORT, ATTITUDE, and TEAMWORK are the foundation of a successful player and a successful team. He encourages his players to give their best effort, maintain a positive attitude, support their teammates, and continually look for ways to improve.

Above all, Brett enjoys watching kids have fun playing baseball. His goal is to create a positive, energetic environment where players can develop their skills, build lasting memories, and learn to love the game.

Coach Brett fun fact: if Sweet Tart Ropes were a fruit, he'd eat them every day. 😄🍓

MEET THE COACH!
Aaron Horne 🤝 Head Coach 10u!

Bandits are excited to be welcoming a new head coach to our 'team' this season!

Aaron has been around baseball since he was 4 years old, growing up playing Little League in Belmont, Optimist baseball in Gastonia, Belmont Middle School, South Point High School and American Legion baseball with Post 144/266. He even walked on at NC State before ultimately pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.

Today, Aaron works as a Civil Engineer designing overhead transmission lines, but baseball has always remained a big part of his life. After being part of several coaching staffs during his oldest son’s development, he now gets the chance to coach his youngest.

Aaron is married to Heather, and they have two boys, Callan (12) and Tucker (9).

As a coach, Aaron is passionate about the little things; baseball IQ, readiness, focus, effort and intensity. His philosophy is simple: when you're prepared, work hard, and take care of the small things, the outcomes tend to take care of themselves.

Coach Horne fun fact: he played at Martha Rivers Park when it first opened and hit the first home run *EVER* at the park. (okay, that's a real fun one to be able to claim when you've played ball in this area your whole life! 🤌🙌)

MEET THE COACH!
Caleb Fox 🤝 Head Coach 9U!

The Belmont Bandits are excited to welcome Coach Caleb to our official coaching roster this season! A Belmont native, Caleb grew up playing sports in the area and brings nine years of baseball coaching experience, along with three years of coaching football. (Go RAIDERS!)

Caleb is passionate about creating a fun environment where players can grow, compete, and fall in love with the game of baseball. He believes youth sports provide an opportunity to teach valuable life lessons and enjoys helping players learn responsibility, accountability, and leadership both on and off the field.

Above all, Caleb wants his players to have fun while developing the skills and confidence needed to succeed as teammates and young leaders.

When he's not on the ballfield, Caleb can usually be found under houses inspecting crawlspaces for a structural and foundation repair company. He and his wife share their home with two boys, two dogs, and a pet snake. (🫪)

Coach Caleb fun fact: He survives on Red Bull. 🏃‍♂️🐂

MEET THE COACH!
Doug Hansen 🤝 Head Coach 8U!

We're excited to have Coach Doug back as a Bandits head coach this season! After spending the last three years as an assistant coach in our organization, he's stepping into a head coaching role and bringing his baseball knowledge, teaching experience, and passion for developing young athletes with him.

Coach Doug has been around baseball his entire life, playing through high school and continuing in adult rec leagues during and after college.

A former middle school teacher and multi-sport coach, he combines his experience in the classroom and on the field to help players learn, grow, and build confidence.

Now, he's excited to lead another 8U team and help young athletes develop not only their baseball skills, but also a lifelong love for the game!

His favorite part of coaching is watching the lightbulb come on when a player accomplishes something they didn't think they could do.

Coach Hansen fun fact: He is addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper! 🥤
