We are proud to celebrate Bryan Busteed, a longtime BOB’s member, and Jerry Kleidosty, a longtime friend of BOB’s Fitness Complex, on their recent induction into the Omaha South High School Packer Sports Greats Hall of Fame! The 2026 class was inducted on September 17th, with Bryan receiving the award as a coach and Jerry being inducted as an athlete.
Bryan Busteed has been a major part of the powerlifting community for many decades. He spent 22 years as the head powerlifting coach at Omaha South from 1999–2021, building an incredibly successful program and helping coach 46 boys’ and 32 girls’ state champions. His athletes also earned 13 Best Lifter awards at state meets. Bryan’s impact on powerlifting extended well beyond Omaha South, helping grow and strengthen the sport throughout the Omaha metro area.
Jerry Kleidosty is a longtime friend of BOB’s Fitness Complex and has an incredible athletic and professional background of his own. A 1988 Omaha South graduate, Jerry earned seven varsity letters across football, track & field, powerlifting and baseball. He went on to compete at both UNL and Wayne State, earning team captain, Defensive MVP and All-American honors. Jerry also spent 22.5 years with the Omaha Fire Department, eventually becoming a captain, and has continued giving back to the community through his work with Helmet Club Bikes for Kids.
We are incredibly proud to see two people who have dedicated so much of their lives to strength, athletics, leadership and their community receive this special recognition.
Congratulations, Bryan & Jerry! This is an incredible honor, and BOB’s is proud to celebrate you both! 🏆🦾
