Our mission is to provide young dancers with an education-based, positive, encouraging, and yet a disciplined dance environment. We strive to provide a family, friendly, caring environment, where dancers can grow their appreciation of the performing arts. However, perhaps most importantly, we strive to also encourage and enhance the students' self worth, confidence, creativity and more. The Turning Pointe is proud to be an affiliated member of More Than Just Great Dancing.

✨ WE’RE BACK TO DANCE! ✨

There’s just something special about that first day back in the studio - seeing familiar faces, welcoming new ones, hearing the music again, and watching our dancers step back into our studios. Today was day 1 and it feels SO GOOD to be back! We can’t wait to welcome classes back throughout this week! 🫶🤗

What if dance could be about more than learning the steps?
At The Turning Pointe, we believe it should be.

We believe in strong technique, knowledgeable teachers, and classes taught with purpose. We believe dancers grow best in an environment where they feel safe, supported, encouraged, and challenged.

But we also believe some of the most important things our dancers learn go beyond that...
They learn to work hard.
To be a good teammate.
To handle correction.
To keep trying when something is difficult.
To celebrate someone else's success.
To be confident in who they are.

Because at TTP, we're not just teaching dance lessons. We're mentoring our dancers as they grow into strong, kind, confident young people - while creating a studio family they can belong to along the way.

Whether your dancer is stepping into a studio for the very first time or looking for a place to take their training to the next level, there is a place for them here.

From shoe fittings, to leotards, tights, bags, and more - we are here to help so that you don't have to guess on sizing.

Can't make it? No worries! We are happy to help you find all of your class attire needs anytime before or after your dancer's class!

Our shelves are full - and we are ready to help you find the perfect dance attire to help your dancer feel confident!

Stop by the studio tonight 4-7pm or on Sunday from 3-5pm! We can help you find a leotard and fit your dancer for any shoes that they may need. Can’t make it either of those days? No worries! We are happy to help get you fitted the first week of classes too.

Our new dance season is almost here! We are getting so excited!
Need class attire or dance shoes? We are happy to help make it simple and easy for you!

Stop by TTP TODAY from 4:00–7:00 PM and we’ll help you find the right class attire, get your dancer fitted for shoes, and make sure they have everything they need to start the season ready to go!

Can’t make it today? No worries! We’ll have a second Stop-In Day this Sunday, or we can measure your dancer during their first week of classes!

We can’t wait to see our dancers back at TTP!

We are so excited for Cora!!

She was selected as the Distinguished Young Women of Kansas for 2026 this past year. Next week she will travel to Mobile, AL, where she will represent Kansas for 2 weeks at America’s Distinguished Young Women National Finals!

✨ Behind the Scenes of Recital Continued✨
Long before recital day arrives, the costume process is already well underway.
It all begins back in October with hours of searching for costumes that are age-appropriate, high quality, and the perfect fit for each class and routine. Miss Lucina and I met for hours over Fall Break searching for the perfect costume for each class!
Once they arrive, we begin sorting, organizing, trying on every costume, making exchanges, steaming, labeling, and preparing each one so it's ready for picture week and recital weekend.
By the time recital arrives, every costume has been carefully packed into garment bags, making it as easy as possible for our dancers and families.
A huge thank you to Miss Lucina, TTP alumna Keirra, and our mentorship students for the many hours spent helping with costume prep throughout the season. From fittings to steaming and everything in between, your hard work helped and was very appreciated!
I also would like to give a big shout out to my mom, Rebecca. She goes along with all of my ideas of adding appliqués and rhinestoning… because we have to make everything a little extra and just that much more special. 😉

Thankful for all of those that help make it possible behind the scenes! 🤍
