🐴 NOW HIRING: WEEKEND HORSE CARE MEMBER

Sunny Sugarcreek Stables is looking for a dependable, experienced horse person to join our Horse Care Team!

📅 Every Saturday & Sunday
⏰ 8:00–10:00 AM
📍 Bellbrook, OH

This is a team position. You will work alongside another Horse Care Member as a two-person team, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people as well as horses.

We’re looking for someone who:

* 🐴 Has hands-on horse experience
* ❤️ Cares about the health and well-being of horses
* ⏰ Is dependable and committed to showing up consistently
* 🚗 Has reliable transportation
* 🤝 Works well with others and is a good team player
* 💬 Communicates well and is comfortable working collaboratively
* 👀 Is attentive and notices the little things

Morning responsibilities include feeding, turnout, health checks, water, hay, stall care, and helping keep the barn and horse areas clean, safe, and organized.

Excellent horse care is always our first priority, followed by leaving the barn ready for the PM team.

4 guaranteed hours every weekend, with additional hours available for the right person.

We want to take a moment to celebrate Danielle and her first year as part of the Sunny Sugarcreek Stables team! 🎉

Danielle is one of those people who shows up, works hard, and gets the job done. She is dependable, consistent, and excellent at handling horses. She has a natural way with them and takes her responsibilities seriously.

This past year has brought many changes and transitions at Sunny Sugarcreek Stables, and through it all, Danielle has continued to show up with loyalty, dedication, and a willingness to help wherever she is needed. That kind of dependability is something we truly value.

Danielle also helps keep our drinks, snacks, and other barn supplies stocked and ready to go, which is just one more way she helps keep things running smoothly. 😊

I saw this idea online and thought, “I think we can make that!” 😂🎃

Four old tires, some paint, a pair of blue jeans, boots, and a little hay… and look what showed up in the yard! 👖👢🌾

Keith helped me finish it up, and I think our little tire scarecrow turned out pretty cute! 🧡💛

Nothing fancy—just a fun project, a little creativity, and some time spent making something festive for the farm.

Sometimes, the greatest sign that a horse is happy
isn’t running, playing, or showing off…

It’s simply lying down.

Resting his head.
Stretching out his legs.
Feeling safe enough to close his eyes
and let the world go quiet for a while.

No rushing.
No worry.
No expectations.

Just a soft bed of sawdust,
a peaceful arena,
and the quiet comfort of knowing
he is safe.

Because sometimes, happiness in a horse
looks an awful lot like this—

There’s something so beautiful about horses who choose to stand together. No agenda. No hurry. Just companionship, comfort, and the quiet feeling of belonging.

These mares truly love being together, and you can see the happiness in simply being close. Sometimes, that’s all we need—a little companionship, a little comfort, and someone beside us.

Today, Steven is adding more rock to our main pathway. We’re continually working to improve the property and make our farm a better, safer, more functional place for both horses and people.
