We want to give a HUGE shoutout to all of New Mexico’s and the Super 6’s die-hard ropers who continue to show up, support the jackpots, and support each other. Y’all are truly appreciated more than you know! You’re the ones who keep the spirit of roping alive.
Roping is a family, and just like any family, we need to show up for each other. We’re seeing more and more jackpots and ropings becoming a dying thing as ropers find ways around the number system. We can’t fault anyone for doing what they can — and as producers, we go by the current card — but we also have to realize that if we want these jackpots to continue, we have to support them.
There are plenty of complaints about ropings, but not always solutions. Plenty of opinions, but not always action.
So instead of tearing each other down, let’s show up, rope, support, encourage, and help keep this sport going.
To the ones who consistently haul in, enter, watch, help, encourage, and support — THANK YOU. You are appreciated, and you are a huge part of why we’re still here.
Let’s continue to show up for one another.
Because at the end of the day, we’re not just competitors — we’re a roping family.
