Meet the Leadership Beaver Dam Class of 2027!

Local professionals kicked off their nine-month journey on September 10 at the Beaver Dam American Legion. Their first session focused on getting to know one another, understanding individual personality traits, leadership behaviors, switch-tasking and teamwork, led by Wendy Hermann of Moraine Park Technical College.

The day also included team-building activities and lunch with Leadership Beaver Dam alumni. Over the next nine months, the class will explore local businesses, schools, nonprofits, government and community issues while building connections and leadership skills.

National Falls Prevention Week is September 21-26, and we are hosting FREE gentle Yoga classes designed to improve mobility, balance, strength, and confidence at The Watermark on Wednesday, September 23. Choose from a 10:30 am class or 1:30 pm class.

National Falls Prevention Awareness Week kicks off Monday with our Mugs for Rugs event with the Beaver Dam Fire Department at Nunatak Coffee Roasters from 8-10:30 a.m. Drop off your throw rugs, which are known tripping hazards, and receive a mug and free coffee!

And don't forget to check out our yoga events at the Watermark on Wednesday and balance screenings at the YMCA of Dodge County on Friday!

What a wonderful day spent together on the Mississippi River! 🚢

Participants from The Watermark had a memorable outing to Dubuque, Iowa on Wednesday, September 16 for a Celebration Belle cruise.

The 4-hour paddlewheel boat cruise offered beautiful views along the Mississippi River, live music from Barefoot Becky & the Ivanhoe Dutchmen, plenty of smiles and dancing 🎶, and time to sit back, visit with friends, and take in the scenery—including eagles soaring overhead and hints of fall color along the river. 🍂

Guests enjoyed lunch, comfortable motorcoach transportation, and the chance to share a special day away with neighbors and friends. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the trip such a fun and welcoming experience! 😊

We are especially thankful for the Recreation Department’s partnership with Kim’s Tours, which helps bring meaningful community outings like this to life through the Recreation Department. 💙
