Discover the beauty, balance, and ancient symbolism of sacred geometry in this immersive hands-on workshop with Shelley Beaumont. Together, we will explore three foundational geometric symbols—the Seed of Life, the 12-Petal Daisy, and the Flower of Life—and learn how to construct them entirely by hand using only a compass, steady breath, and simple, intentional steps. The drawings will then be rendered into a beautiful mosaic mandala.

Come learn and explore the history and art of encaustic painting at Spirit of Fire hosted by Kathleen Kvern Oct 18-21, 2026. This will be Kathleen’s 4th hosted retreat at Wild Rice. She is clearly a guest favorite host and we are grateful to have her back.

At the Spirit of Fire: Cultivating Authenticity through creativity; you will be guided to deepen your authentic creative voice through a combination of encaustic techniques (head) and intuitive art exercises (heart.)

Fun techniques will be explored and taught including incising, pouring, collage, mixing paint, color theory, creating texture and working with stencils.

All levels of experience are welcome and you will be given ample studio time as well as one-on-one instruction.

Have you ever wanted to try wheel-thrown pottery or perhaps expand your skills by learning the art of centering?

Connect with us to curate an off-site experience to learn the art of wheel-thrown pottery by Eckels Pottery, Eckels Pottery . This private lesson is designed for couples, families, and small groups. During this two-hour session, you’ll receive personalized instructions tailored to your experience level as you learn the basics of working on the wheel. All skill levels are welcome, with the option to have select pieces glazed and fired to take home.

PRICE
$90 for a two-hour session, scheduled from 10 am - Noon.
Glaze and fire your pieces for an additional $20 per person.
