Horse of the week:
Meet one of the newest members of our herd, Rockin' Rizzou aka Rizz! We know the name is funny but it has stuck! We purchased Rizz last fall and she has been a great addition to our riding program as she can do EVERYTHING! She has great scope over fences and has taken to be a favorite of the Western program as well. She also is our ONLY grey horse! Her previous owner rescued her and gave her an excellent foundation. We are very grateful to them and so happy to have this fun little mare!

The Advocate came to document the Cory Bourque Clinic, held on Saturday, and we would like to share a few of those moments. We are excited to bring more events that focus on improving horsemanship and the partnership that is the foundation of all equestrian sports in the near future so stay tuned! Thank you to all who attended. We were over the moon to be able to host this clinic. Thank you also to Cory, and his wife Nicole,for creating such a special day!

Rounding out our busy weekend, another fun filled horsey themed birthday 🐴🎂🥳. We can’t wait for cooler weather so we don’t have to sweat 😅 so much, but these cowgirls came ready to ride and have a good time regardless of the heat🥳

Here by very popular demand, Farr Park is pleased to announce that Cory Bourque will be hosting a Horsemanship Clinic on August 22nd from 9-4. Spots are limited and they are going to fill up fast, so call to get registered. Auditing (coming without a horse to observe) is also available. We are very excited about this opportunity and encourage everyone who is interested to register. If you don’t have a horse but want to participate, we can provide you with one of our BREC horses for the day!! Just call and we can hook you up.

Horse of the week for this week is Rocky!!
Rocky is the reverend of our our herd and born way back in 1998! He is a registered Quarter Horse whose official name is Smart Rock A Lena and comes from cutting horse stock. He was donated in 2022 and quickly became a favorite of all in the barn with his wonderful attitude. He has unending patience teaching new riders.
These days he is retired from moving faster than a walk. He does help with Hearts and Hooves, birthday parties and occasional day camps.
Rocky is still gets full-time love. He will hear us coming and will peek around the corner of the barn looking for ear scratches and treats! We are big fans of this rockstar! How about y'all?!

It is with great sadness that we share the untimely passing of our former employee, Madison “Maddie” Moore.
While many of our newer staff members may not have had the opportunity to know Maddie, several of our colleagues remember her fondly. Maddie worked as a Stablehand and had a deep passion for horses. Her love for them was evident in the care and dedication she brought to her work.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Maddie’s parents, who, even in the midst of their grief, have asked that donations be made to Farr Park in Maddie’s name. Their incredible generosity and kindness during such a difficult time is a beautiful testament to Maddie’s love for horses and the impact she had on those around her.

We extend our deepest condolences to Maddie’s family, friends, and all those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered with fondness and greatly missed.
