Annual OB🏖️ trip for team camp was epic again this year!! Team bonding with no phones included car ride talks and games, Bible studies, skit night, goal setting, game nights, grocery shopping and cooking and cleaning, memes (iykyk 🤣), beach tourney, eating some amazing meals (thanks for the buttery brownies and red velvet cake Coach Chip!), pool time, singing, sunset pics, late night talks, and of course some great volleyball for 2 days (went 7-1) with a TON of laughs too!!!

Marin Price is a rising junior at Parkview Baptist High School in Louisiana. The 6-foot-2 outside hitter also plays for WD Nation. She outlined her journey in this Digging Dish. “My mom thought she signed me up for a volleyball camp, but it turned out to be tryouts for a club team,” she said. “I was 10 years old when I started playing volleyball.” She started in the middle and moved to the pins. “I was always really tall compared to other girls, so I started off being a middle for my first few years of volleyball,” she said. Playing college volleyball is her goal. “Once I got to seventh grade, I definitely knew I wanted to play volleyball at the collegiate level,” she said. She enjoys her teammates and pushing each other to be the best. “I think my favorite part is the people you get to play with,” she said. “Being on a team with a common purpose of wanting to better each other and win is so awesome.” She is always putting in the work to improve. “I work out with my school team and by myself on most days,” she said. “I get extra reps with my high school coach, club coach or my dad.” She offered words of wisdom. “The advice I would give to younger athletes is don’t be negative,” she said. “It’s very easy to be unhappy with your performance and let it take your joy. Always remember you do this sport because you love it!”

Girls AND BOYS entering 1st-8th welcome‼️

❤️🏐 VolleyTOTS (1st- 3rd graders): This is a program designed to establish the skills needed to perform in all sports with a focus in volleyball. Your child will practice their eye/hand coordination, feet movement, communication skills, as well as develop volleyball techniques using Volleylite balls.

💙🏐 VolleyKIDS (4th- 6th graders): Instruction will be focused on individual skill development to prepare for team concepts and competition. Each player will receive small group instruction on serving, passing, setting, spiking, blocking, and competitive drills.

‼️🏐 VolleyELITE (7th- 8th graders): Advanced skills will be taught according to the player's knowledge and skill level. This advanced group will receive additional instruction on defense, quick offense, blocking, and game-like competition (with our Parkview players) that we use in our gym on a daily basis.
